About Garrett Lee Althen
From a young age my brain and my hands never seemed to stop moving.
The only remedy seemed to be creating and problem solving.
Drawing, Painting, Sculpting, and Music to keep the hands at ease. Puzzles and writing to keep the brain at bay. I was raised in the film industry as my father is a photographer and my mother a make up artist.
Growing up around the movies I felt as though I wanted to be an editor and saw my skills as a hobby. These hobbies turned into fascinations which birthed a curiosity in me — to see if I could make the things I am enamored with — in to a profession. This curiosity led me to make-up school, where I sharpened my sculpting skills and learned the art of Prosthetics and Animatronics.
From there I started my journey where I have worked for multiple shops and have learned much along the way including mold making, casting, scenic painting, metal working, sculpting and much more.
